Dave Hall

Dave Hall paints by the half light of dawn and dusk and are inspired by the Greater Yellowstone country of the American West. A piece of his heart resides there, due in large part to the poetry associated with the convergence of family and friends, moving water and mayfly hatches.

Influences include Utah artist and friend Connie Borup, Mark Rothko, Wolf Kahn, Russell Chatham, the Impressionists, and the American tonal painters George Inness and Albert Ryder.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Dave lives with his family on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake in Last Chance, Idaho and in Salt Lake City.
