Dane H. Chinnock is a working artist who now resides in Georgetown, Texas. However, he grew up in Tucson and Prescott, Arizona where, as a child, he recalls the scent of his mother’s oil paints. A deep love for everything Arizona - from the deserts to the high plains, the pine forest to the riparian creeks and canyons; as well as the historic adobe barrios to the city streets and alleyways - these are the passions that inspire him still.
In 2010 Dane began to hone his skills and deepen his love for painting under the mentorship of local legends, Paul Abbott and the late Bob Knudson. Finally in 2017 he began a full time art career with a jury selected entrance into the prestigious Phippen Art Show in Prescott, Arizona in which he won Southwest Art Magazine Award of Excellence. He was later featured in the same publication as an “Artist to Follow”. Dane is currently represented at Rowe Gallery in Sedona, Arizona and Sage Creek Gallery in Sante Fe, New Mexico. He has also recently won the People’s Choice Award and the Best ‘Beyond’ Landscape Award in the 4th Annual Prescott Plein Air Festival.
“To express the beauty of creation through painting and in turn have someone moved emotionally by my painting is my reward.” ~ Dane H. Chinnock
