Corbeau Gallery is showcasing contemporary artists from across the country during the darkest time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. Nine artists are brought together for a limited engagement show to bring light and color during these short days. Please join us during the winter solstice at The Cloudveil Hotel in Jackson, Wyoming to see these beautiful works in person.
From emerging to established voices, the breadth of Western iconography, lore, and landscape is explored. We look skyward to Laura Guese's billowing cloudscapes and the cosmic horses of Kym Day. Back down to earth, striking landscapes are captured by John Taft, Bruce Brainard, and Scott Yeager. Those who inhabit these rugged terrains-cowboys, each with their own narrative-are brought to life in vastly different mediums through the work of Terry Gardner, Drew Christie and Nicholas Ward.
With The Cloudveil located just off the town square, collectors can discover some of the brightest, most creative, and talented painters working in the genre today. This show celebrates art as the harbinger of light as we enter the winter season. Although working across varying visual languages, these artists share color as a vehicle for expression. Aurora is about what surprises and sustains us amidst the dark and cold.
